Funding Opportunity: London Communities Micro Grant Fund
Funding available for grassroots organisations already making a difference in their communities.
The Thrive LDN: London Communities Micro Grant Fund offers grants of up to £5,000 to support small, grassroots organisations delivering existing community activities that strengthen wellbeing, resilience and belonging across London.
Projects could include:
- Existing community activities
- Projects that support social inclusion
- Peer support and community networks
- Arts, culture and creative wellbeing activities
Thrive LDN is particularly looking to support projects that benefit some of London's most marginalised and underserved communities, including:
- People experiencing poverty and financial hardship
- Refugee and asylum-seeking communities
- Communities affected by crisis, displacement or conflict
- Racialised and minoritised communities
- LGBTQ+ communities
- Disabled communities
- Communities experiencing exclusion, discrimination or multiple disadvantages
The London Communities Micro Grant Fund is being delivered by Groundwork London. It is commissioned by Thrive LDN, with support and funding from the Mayor of London.

- Applications open: Monday 24 August 2026
- Online support workshop: Wednesday 9 September 2026
- Applications close: Monday 21 September 2026, 10:00am
- Outcome announcements: Friday 2 October 2026
Online Grant Information Workshop
Applicants are invited to attend an online grant information workshop on Wednesday 9 September 2026, 4:00pm to 5:30pm, to learn more about the London Communities Micro Grant Fund.
The session will provide an overview of the fund, including:
- Who can apply
- What can be funded
- Key dates
- How to complete the application process
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions. Register here for the workshop.
There is also an accessibility pot (up to £500 per applicant) to support applications with things like British Sign Language (BSL) interpretation, translation or interpreting services, scribe support and/ or assistance completing the application form.
