Golden Oldies

The Golden Oldies community care project was founded by the late Reverend Lillian Frances in 1991 with the initiative to bring people together and create an environment for older people to live healthy and social lives.
She was passionate about keeping older people mentally and physically active, and sustain civic participation with the community. She found, however, that there was a lack of information and resources available and thus ignited the Golden Oldies. After her retirement Reverend Francis reached out to social organisations for older people, especially those of Afro-Caribbean descent. Today we continue to support the vision of Reverend Frances and aim to keep older people physically active, independent and fully participating in their community.
