Kinaara

Kinaraa is a Black‑led infrastructure organisation based in Lewisham, dedicated to addressing health inequalities and strengthening the leadership and economic power of Black voluntary and community sector organisations. Established in 2021 in response to the disproportionate impact of COVID‑19 on Black communities, Kinaraa builds on a long legacy of community‑driven advocacy and innovation.

The organisation works to ensure that public sector investment better reflects community needs, supporting culturally appropriate services and empowering Black leaders to shape local systems and solutions. Through collaboration, research, and partnership working, Kinaraa amplifies voices that are often unheard and drives systemic change to improve health outcomes and create thriving, resilient communities.

How we're partnering with the Alliance

Trust and Health Creation Partnership

The Trust and Health Creation Partnership is a three-year programme funded by the South East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB), bringing together By and For and grassroots VCSE organisations, NHS Prevention Leads, King's Health Partners and the South East London VCSE Strategic Alliance. Together, we are exploring how trust, relationships and community leadership contribute to community-led health creation, and how health and care systems can better understand, support and invest in the conditions that help communities thrive.
